Stuck in the Box is a new series of podcast-style conversations with great guitar music teachers.
Jake Lizzio is one of my favorite YouTubers because he makes music theory accessible and immediately practical as a tool for making good music, and I'm a paid member of his Patreon. One of his recent videos gave me an epiphany about visualizing scales, and I reached out to see if he'd be willing to talk about it. In this conversation, we talk about improvisation and creativity on guitar, as well as "music theory" scales and why they aren't such a big deal.
