This is the written lesson for my next YouTube video, which is coming soon. In August I took a fretboard geometry master class with Robb Cappelletto, Billy Strings' teacher, and he gave us a scale exercise that covers the whole neck in six positions, each played as a scale, a pentatonic, and a triad. The lesson lays out Robb's routine, then rebuilds every shape from three building blocks you can use from any root, on any string, and in other modes. At the end, a practice routine with a fretboard for every step takes you through one key per session, around the cycle of fourths.
